Vigo County Arrest Records

Vigo County arrest records are public documents. They are only restricted from members of the public if they are expunged or part of confidential records, such as juvenile arrest documents. The Vigo County Sheriff's Office is the custodian of arrest records. The office maintains an Inmate Lookup tool that allows members of the public to access arrest information online without charges.

Users may choose to search for only current inmates, only those who have been released, or both. Afterward, they may either search by name or scroll through the inmate list. Individuals may also visit the office during business hours to obtain copies of arrest records for a small fee. A typical Vigo County arrest record contains the following information:

  • The arrested person's full name, age, and mugshot
  • Arrestee's height, race, sex, weight, hair color, and eye color
  • Charge description and statute, release date, and booking date
  • Court date, type, and name
  • Offense and arrest date, case status, and arresting agency
  • Bond type, inmate classification, bond agency, and bond amount
